Pop diva Britney Spears has unveiled her imperfections to highlight women's body image issues by releasing a set of untouched photographs from a recent fashion shoot.
The singer is seen posing in a pink bikini in a new spread for US fashion brand Candie's, but there are notable differences in the two sets of images which have been released by the pop star's representatives, reports contactmusic.com.
The untouched images show Spears with cellulite on the back of her thighs, bumps and bruises on her calves, and dry skin on her feet - a marked contrast to the airbrushed photographs, which picture the star with smooth skin and a noticeably smaller bottom.
Picture editors have also slimmed down Spears' thighs and waist in one of the shots.
The release of the candid snaps comes just weeks after Jessica Simpson appeared on the front cover of America's Marie Claire magazine without the help of make-up or airbrushing.
