Raat
Take a look at the director's spook fest on the eve of Phoonk 2's release. 'Raat' This 1992 release has become a cult, and is still known as Ram Gopal Varma's best scary film. Starring Revathy, Rohini Hattangadi, Anant Nag and Om Puri, 'Raat' did not have any spooky images or effects. And yet the film had an undercurrent of eerie written all over it. Revathy's performance is considered one of her best. Text: Shweta Parande

Bhoot
This 2003 film can be the second best supernatural flick from RGV's stable. It had wonderful performances by Urmila Matondkar, Ajay Devgan, Nana Patekar, Rekha, Fardeen Khan, Victor Banerjee, Tanuja and Seema Biswas among others.

Agyaat
2009 saw RGV produce a bilingual horror film, 'Agyaat' in Hinid and 'Adavi' in Telugu. Both films did fairly well at the BO.

Vaastu Shashtra
This Sushmita Sen and Chakravathy starrer did not do well at the box office. But it is still counted among RGV's attempts at scaring people.

Phoonk
Released in 2008, 'Phoonk' did fairly well at the box office. The film starred child artiste Ehsaas Channa in the lead. Other actors include Anu Ansari, Lillete Dubey, Shrey Bawa, Kenny Desai among others.

A sequel to 'Phoonk', this film promises to scare the daylights out of people. In fact, RGV has challenged anyone who can watch it alone, just like he did in 'Phoonk'. Part 2 is directed by part 1's writer, Milind Gadagkar.
