Karan Johar-Ram Gopal Varma war of words turns ugly

Karan Johar-Ram Gopal Varma war of words turns ugly

Karan Johar-Ram Gopal Varma war of words turns uglyIf the SRK-Aamir Khan rivalry is one of the hottest topics on celluloid, our directors aren’t far behind either. It’s a known fact that there’s no love lost between two of Bollywood’s top directors, Karan Johar and Ram Gopal Varma.

They’re both prolific filmmakers, who adhere to the brand of cinema that they believe in. For some reason they have never really seen eye-to-eye.

Their animosity was triggered when RGV remarked callously that the scariest film he had ever seen was Karan’s Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna. The comment didn’t go down too well with Karan, who replied in kind.

The two have regularly taken potshots at each other since then. Now, the war of words has spilled onto Twitter, the social networking sensation among celebs. A new chapter in their face-off began when Karan commented on Ramu’s recent debacle Phoonk 2.

He stated, “I have not seen Phoonk, nor did I Phoonk 2. I am sure Phoonk 3 will not be made.” Ramu obviously could not take it lying down and retorted, “I’ve completed scripting Phoonk 3 and I’m planning to approach Karan Johar to act opposite the crow.”

Their tweets were obsessively followed by fans who are enjoying the spat.

The latest is Karan’s tweet about Ramu appeared in his dreams – “Early morning dreams come true? I dreamt I was watching Phoonk 2 and holding RGV’s hand in fear. Is this possible?”

RGV was quick with his tart reply. “Well, I don’t know about Phoonk 2, but I’m scared of the Karan Johar hand holding part.” One thing’s for sure; the two do not mince words and know how to be sarcastic and ruthless at the same time!
